Orfèvre Duponchel - Creamer And Sugar Bowl In Sterling Silver Nineteenth

About the Item

These pieces are made of solid silver. The body is plain, on a flat background, decorated with a Greek frieze and applied on both sides, village scenes in Chinese style. The lid of the sugar bowl is beautifully carved with a woven wicker imitation decor, surmounted by a terrace centered on a Fu dog. The branch-shaped handles end with applied dragon masks. Interior of the sugar bowl and creamer in vermeil.
